About Bobtails St Francis
Bobtails at St Francis is set in a large Church hall which we divide into our pre-school room. We have a large car park, and a wonderful enclosed garden, which we use in addition to our inside teaching environment allowing children to extend their learning and fun.
We have an all-weather shade sail allowing access to the outside space all year round, a rubber safety surface where the children can zoom around the ‘Bobtails road’ on the trikes, and an astro-turf area that is used all year round. Children also have the opportunities to use our large physical equipment, space to run around, to dig and explore in our sand, water, and digging areas, or to make tea for 24 in our ‘mud kitchen’ and home corner!
Teacher Justine, Manager
Teacher Justine has been the manager of Bobtails at St Francis Church Hall since September 2020. In September 2008 Justine opened the second Bobtails in Horley, situated in the grounds of Horley Infant School. Justine then became the proud manager of both preschools. Justine has achieved seven Ofsted Outstanding grades whilst being the manager of both preschools. She is pleased to continue this outstanding achievement at her last Ofsted inspection in June 2022 at Bobtails St Francis Church Hall. In February 2022 after 22 years of working full time, Justine decided to reduce her hours and step down as the Manager of Bobtails at Horley Infants School and concentrate on running one preschool at St Francis Church Hall, where it all started for her 24 years ago.
Justine is a mum to two boys, three Labradors, two cats, and three fish. Justine firmly believes that if children feel safe and secure, learning comes naturally. Children embrace being children at Bobtails, jumping in puddles, making mud pies, and learning about the environment we live in.
